Grief Therapy · Online · In English
Professional grief support, in English, from a psychologist who thinks in Spanish too. A space at your pace — even when the funeral happened on a screen, the goodbye happened without you, or no one around you understands what you lost.
When grief crosses a border
Maybe you found out over a phone call. Maybe you watched the burial through a screen, sitting in a country where no one around you knew who you'd just lost. Maybe your family held the velorio, the misa, the novena — and you sat with none of that, in an apartment where those rituals don't exist. Grief doesn't wait for a visa, a work schedule, or a flight you couldn't take.
And you may be carrying it in English — at work, in a life you built far from home — while the loss itself lives in Spanish, in a language the people around you don't share. That gap is its own weight. Therapy shouldn't ask you to grieve in translation, or explain what a novena is before you can talk about what you actually lost.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years accompanying people through loss, trained in systemic family therapy. I live and practice from Barranquilla, Colombia, and I work with clients online, in English. I'm not asking you to translate your grief for me — I think in Spanish too, and I understand what it means to lose someone across a border, a screen, or a language.
Grief is easier to carry with someone beside you. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no strings attached.

My approach
I work from a systemic-relational approach: I don't treat your grief as a symptom to correct, but as part of your history, your bonds, and — for many of the people I work with — a loss that also crosses a border.
Grief isn't linear, and it doesn't run on anyone's calendar — not your family's back home, and not the schedule of the life you built here. We work from wherever you actually are today.
This isn't about forgetting or "moving on." We look for a place for that bond in your life now — one that lets you remember without the distance turning into guilt.
Often you're the one making the calls, translating for the family, holding everyone else together — while your own grief waits its turn. We make space for yours as well.
How we begin
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll book a first 60-minute video session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session, I listen to your story — what you lost, and how you've been carrying it, wherever in the world you're carrying it from. No rushed diagnoses, no jargon: just understanding, together, what you need.
You decide with real information, not blindly. If it feels right, we build a process suited to you. If not, I'll still point you toward what you need.
The goal isn't to stop missing them. It's that love weighs more than the wound, and that you can carry it with you as you live again.
