Life Balance Therapy · Online, in English
Weeks of doing nothing, then weeks of doing too much. Neither one actually feels good, and chasing the "right" extreme keeps you stuck in the same loop. A space, in English, to see the pattern clearly and find the pace you can actually keep, without translating yourself first.
When neither extreme works
Some months you barely get off the couch. Other months you're the one saying yes to everything, running on momentum until you crash. Neither version of you is at peace: in stillness you feel useless, in constant motion you feel empty, and part of you keeps thinking that if you just found the right pole — if you could hold onto the calm, or keep up the pace — you'd finally be fine. You wouldn't. For a lot of people who live their days in English while thinking in Spanish, that swing gets sharper: weeks of pushing through in a rhythm and a language that isn't originally yours, followed by weeks where the adrenaline runs out and nothing gets done at all.
Therapy doesn't ask you to try harder at discipline or to pick a side. It helps you map your own two extremes with real examples from your own week, and find the point between them — the level you can repeat tomorrow and the day after, without burning out or shutting down. Not the minimum. Not the maximum. The one you can sustain.
Does this sound familiar?
Months of doing nothing, followed by months of doing too much. Neither one makes you happy.
In stillness you feel useless. In constant motion you feel empty.
You believe that if you could hold onto the calm, or keep up the pace, you'd finally be fine. Neither one works.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years working with people who live caught between extremes, trained in systemic family therapy. I'm Colombian, based in Barranquilla, and I see clients online. But before any title, I'm someone who understands what it's like to hold two languages and two worlds at once. Many of the people I work with in English think in Spanish first — they migrated, or grew up shuttling between countries, or had to become the adult of the family in a language nobody taught them for that job. You don't have to explain that part to me first.
Finding a sustainable middle ground is easier with someone next to you, looking at your week from the outside. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no pressure.

My approach
I work from a systemic-relational approach: I don't look at your swing between stillness and hyperactivity as a symptom to switch off, but as something shaped by your story, your relationships, and the demands — family, cultural, financial — that keep the pendulum moving.
We start with your actual week — not a general idea of "balance," but the specific days you did nothing and the specific days you overdid it. From there we can see the pattern instead of guessing at it.
The swing shows up in sleep, energy, appetite, and tension — not just in your calendar. We work with that too, so the shift is something you actually feel, not just something you decide.
The goal isn't to feel calm forever or productive forever. It's to find the pace you can repeat tomorrow and the day after — movement without wearing yourself down, and rest without falling apart.
How we start
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll set up a first 60-minute video-call session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session I listen to your story, what a "doing nothing" stretch looks like for you, and what a "doing too much" one looks like. No rushed diagnoses, no jargon — just understanding, together, what you need.
You decide with real information, not blindly. If it feels right for you, we agree on a process built around your own sustainable pace. If not, I'll still point you toward what you need.
You don't live in stillness. And you don't live in conquering the world either. You live in the middle of the two.
