Session Closure · Online, in English
It's not that therapy doesn't work. It's that no one taught you how to close a session so it actually stays with you — instead of dissolving back into just another week.
When the session doesn't stick
You leave session feeling lighter, the clarity real. Two or three days later the line that landed so hard has lost its weight, and you're back where you started. If someone asked you afterward, «so what did you get out of that session?», you wouldn't know what to say — you talked a lot, felt things, but nothing actually closed. A lot of the people I work with in English go through the hour thinking partly in Spanish, and then talk it over that same night with family or a partner back in Spanish: if what mattered didn't get named clearly in session, it doesn't survive that switch back home. Each new session starts to feel like it's beginning from zero — nothing accumulates, nothing gets built on top of what came before.
This isn't about willpower or "just paying more attention." It's a missing step: naming, out loud, what you're taking with you before the session ends — so the insight becomes something you carry, not something that only existed in the room.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of clinical practice, trained in systemic family therapy. I'm Colombian, based in Barranquilla, and I see clients online. But before any title, I'm someone who understands what it's like to hold two languages and two worlds at once. Many of the people I work with in English think in Spanish first — they migrated, or grew up moving between countries, or had to become the responsible one in a language nobody handed them for that job. One of the first things I ask is what they actually took away from a session, in whichever language it's going to stick.
A session that evaporates in three days is time and money that didn't get to do its job. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no pressure.

My method
I won't tell you "therapy works, just give it time." That doesn't help when it feels like your time and money are disappearing without anything staying. What helps is learning how to close a session so it becomes something you actually keep.
Every session ends with two questions. First: what are you taking with you from all of this? A summary, in your own words, not mine. Second: how did you feel with me? That second one is the one almost no therapist asks — and it's the one that makes it stick.
When you name what you're taking with you and how you felt, it stops being something that only happened in the room — it becomes something you carry into your week, in whichever language you'll actually use it in.
If you also leave with one concrete task for the week — not a generic one, the exact one your process needs right now — the session stops being catharsis and starts being training that builds on itself.
How we start
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll set up a first 60-minute video-call session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session I listen to your story and what hasn't been staying with you from therapy before. No rushed diagnoses, no jargon — just understanding, together, what you need.
You decide with real information, not blindly. If it feels right for you, we agree on a process built around you — one where every session closes instead of just ending.
Of everything we talked about, what are you taking with you?… How did you feel with me?
