Self-Compassion Therapy · Online, in English
Professional psychological support for old guilt, in English — from someone who thinks the way you do. A space to separate who you were when you made that mistake from who you are now, without excusing what happened and without sentencing yourself to relive it forever.
When guilt won't let go
A real mistake from the past still defines you. You can't hear someone's complaint without falling apart or going straight to defending yourself. It feels like you're still the person who did that, even though you're not the same person anymore. This isn't about pretending it didn't happen or handing yourself a free pass — it's that carrying an old version of yourself as if it were the only version wears you down and blocks the repair you actually want to make. For a lot of people who carry guilt across two languages, the harshest voice in your head has a way of speaking the language you were first scolded in, even when the rest of your day runs in English.
Therapy doesn't ask you to just be kinder to yourself, or offer comfort as a shortcut. It gives you an operation: naming the version of you who made that mistake as someone from before — with the tools, the pressure, and the blind spots that version had — so today's version can actually take responsibility and repair what's reparable, instead of being sentenced to relive it on a loop.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years working with people carrying guilt they can't put down, trained in systemic family therapy. I'm Colombian, based in Barranquilla, and I see clients online. But before any title, I'm someone who understands what it's like to hold two languages and two worlds at once. Many of the people I work with in English think in Spanish first — they migrated, or grew up shuttling between countries, or had to become the responsible one in a language nobody taught them for that job. That kind of self-criticism has a way of speaking the language you were scolded in first. You don't have to explain that part to me first.
Separating who you were from who you are today is easier to do with someone next to you. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no pressure.

Systemic-Relational Approach
Not a one-size checklist
My approach
I work from a systemic-relational approach: I don't treat guilt as a switch to flip off, but as something shaped by your story, your relationships, and the standards — family, cultural, moral — you were taught to judge yourself by.
We don't skip straight to feeling better. We name the version of you who acted back then — with the tools, the pressure, and the blind spots that version had — so today's version stops being sentenced for someone else's mistake.
Making it right and punishing yourself forever aren't the same thing. We work out what a real repair actually asks of you, so you can hold a complaint without collapsing or going on the defensive.
The goal isn't to feel less guilty in the abstract. It's for you to hear someone's complaint, take in a hard truth, or make an apology, without the old version of you taking over the room.
How we start
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll set up a first 60-minute video-call session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session I listen to what you're carrying, what happened, and how that guilt shows up today. No rushed verdicts, no easy absolution either — just understanding, together, what you need.
You decide with real information, not blindly. If it feels right for you, we agree on a process built around you. If not, I'll still point you toward what you need.
The goal isn't to forget what you did. It's to stop being only that, so you can actually make it right.
