Ghosting Recovery · Online, in English
Ghosting doesn't just take away someone's presence — it can quietly take your sense of choice with it, while you wait for a reason that may never come. This is a space to look at what you decide next, in English, without translating yourself first.
When the silence takes over
You can probably recite the whole timeline: the last message, the read receipt, the day they stopped posting anything at all. What's harder to find in that same timeline is what you decided to do about it — because most of the attention went to them, to what they must be thinking, to the version of the story that would finally explain the silence. For someone who had to build a social life from scratch after moving to another country, this can land even harder: there's no shared friend group to ask what happened, no family who already half-knows the story. When the person who disappeared was also part of your only circle in a new place, the silence isn't just about them — it's about how much of your world here depended on that one connection.
Therapy here doesn't try to get you the explanation, and it doesn't ask you to pretend it didn't matter. It helps you look at what's actually yours to decide — who you reach out to, how you date or make friends again, what you do with your evenings — so your next move stops depending on someone who already left.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience, trained in systemic family therapy. I'm Colombian, based in Barranquilla, and I see clients online. Many of the people I work with in English think in Spanish first — they moved to a new country and had to build a social circle, a routine, a sense of belonging, almost from zero. When someone from that circle goes quiet without a word, there often isn't a wider network around you to help make sense of it, and that changes how heavy the silence feels. You don't have to explain that part to me first.
Making sense of a sudden silence is easier with someone next to you. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no pressure.

Systemic-Relational Approach
Relational focus, not just symptoms
Ricardo is licensed as a psychologist in Colombia (Professional License 106127) and works with international clients in private practice. He does not prescribe medication. Rules on cross-border online therapy vary by country and by state, so it's worth checking what applies where you live — and this never replaces local emergency care.
Book a Session With MeMy approach
I work from a systemic-relational approach: I don't treat the silence as a puzzle to solve, but as a moment where your own decisions — about this relationship, and about what comes next — got pushed out of view.
We don't spend sessions building the case against the person who left. We separate what they did — which is theirs — from what you've decided since then, which is the only part you actually get to work with.
Re-reading the last messages, watching for a read receipt, rehearsing what you'd say if they answered — that loop is doing something for you. We look at what it's protecting you from, so it can loosen instead of just being willed away.
The goal isn't to finally get the explanation. It's for you to make decisions again — about this relationship, about new people, about your time — without waiting for a permission that was never going to come from them.
How we start
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll set up a first 60-minute video-call session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session I listen to what happened, how the silence has been sitting with you, and what's been hardest to move past. No rushed diagnoses, no jargon — just understanding, together, what you need.
You decide with real information, not blindly. If it feels right for you, we agree on a process built around you. If not, I'll still point you toward what you need.
What they did is theirs. What you decide next is yours — and that second part is where your power actually lives.
