Relationship Therapy · Online, in English
A space to look at what's underneath the fight you keep having — not to hand you a verdict, but to help you see it clearly enough to decide for yourself, without translating what you feel first.
When the fight isn't about what happened
The argument repeats. The topic changes — money, time, whose turn it was — but you end up in the same place, and it never quite reaches what's actually going on. Underneath it there's usually an expectation nobody put into words: what you assumed your partner would just know to do, without being asked, because that's what you saw growing up. If you built your closest relationship in a language that isn't the one you grew up in, some of those unspoken rules crossed the border with you — the idea of what a partner "just does," learned at home in Spanish, never actually checked against the life you're living now in English.
The question "is this love or habit" can't really be answered from inside the fight. Therapy doesn't hand you that answer — it helps you separate the closeness that's still there from the friction that's been doing the holding. Once you can see the difference clearly, only you can say which one you're standing on.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years working with couples and individuals untangling why a relationship keeps circling the same argument, trained in systemic family therapy. I'm Colombian, based in Barranquilla, and I see clients online. Many of the people I work with in English think in Spanish first — one partner moved for the relationship, or the two of you built a life across two countries, or the roles you each expected were set long before you had the words for them in this language. You don't have to explain that part to me first.
This kind of question is easier to sit with next to someone. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no pressure, and no verdict handed to you before you're ready for one.

My approach
I work from a systemic-relational approach: I don't look at the fight itself as the problem to solve, but as a signal pointing at an expectation — family, cultural, financial — that was never said out loud.
We don't stop at communication tips that just patch the argument. We look at what expectation never got said out loud — where it came from, whose voice is behind it — so the change reaches what's actually driving the pattern, not just its surface.
Whether this is love or habit isn't mine to decide for you. My work is to help you see the difference between the closeness that's still there and the friction that's been doing the holding — clearly enough to answer it honestly, whatever the answer turns out to be.
The goal isn't only to argue less. It's for the two of you — or for you, on your own — to feel like yourselves again with each other, or to know with real clarity what you actually want next.
How we start
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll set up a first 60-minute video-call session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session I listen to how the fight tends to go, what each side expected without ever saying it, and where that expectation might come from. No rushed verdicts, no jargon — just understanding, together, what's actually happening.
You decide with real information, not blindly — alone or as a couple. If it feels right, we agree on a process built around you. If not, I'll still point you toward what you need.
The fight you keep having usually isn't about what happened. It's about what each of you expected, and never said out loud.
