Social Anxiety Therapy · Online, in English
Professional psychological support for social anxiety, in English — from someone who thinks the way you do. A space to understand the fear of judgment, stop avoiding situations that matter, and quiet the mental replay after every conversation, including the ones where you're speaking a language that isn't fully yours yet.
When other people's judgment feels too heavy
It's not just nerves before speaking in public. It's the constant fear of being judged, your body on alert before a meeting or a gathering, and afterward, the mental replay you can't put down — what you said, how you came across, whether your English came out the way you meant it to.
People around you might say «stop overthinking it» or «nobody cares that much». But social anxiety doesn't switch off with logic: you move through it by understanding what triggers it, which habits quietly keep it alive, and by practicing — with support — a different way of being around people, in whichever language you happen to be speaking.
Who's with you
I'm a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of experience, trained in systemic family therapy. I'm Colombian, based in Barranquilla, and I see clients online. But before any title, I'm someone who understands what it's like to replay a sentence in your head after a meeting, wondering if you used the right word in English, or to stay quiet in a group because rehearsing what to say felt safer than risking saying it wrong. Many of the people I work with in English think in Spanish first, and that extra layer is part of what we work with together — not something you have to explain away before we start.
Social anxiety is easier to move through with someone next to you. If this feels like the moment, let's take the first step together — at your pace, no pressure.

My approach
I work from a systemic-relational approach with gradual exposure, based on evidence: I won't push you straight into what scares you most — we build the process at your pace.
We look together at what happens before, during, and after a social situation — including the mental replay afterward — to understand exactly what's keeping it going.
Avoiding eye contact, rehearsing sentences in your head, staying quiet, translating yourself before you speak: these are ways of protecting yourself that, without meaning to, keep the fear in place. We name them and work through them little by little.
This isn't about throwing you straight into what scares you most. We build gradual exposure, at your pace, with tools that help you hold it.
How we start
Message me on WhatsApp or leave your details in the form. We'll set up a first 60-minute video-call session, at a reduced rate (50% off).
In that first session I listen to which social situations are hardest for you, and what your replay looks like afterward. No rushed diagnoses, no jargon — just understanding, together, what you need.
You decide with real experience, not blindly. If it feels right for you, we agree on a process built around you. If not, I'll still point you toward what you need.
The goal isn't for you to stop feeling nervous. It's for the fear of judgment to stop deciding what you let yourself live.

Before you book
Shyness is a personality trait. Social anxiety significantly interferes with your life: you avoid situations that matter, you suffer before and after them, and it affects your work or your relationships.
Yes. Exposure can be worked on both in online settings and in real situations from your day to day, always at your pace.
It varies from person to person; we define it together after the first assessment session.
Not always. It's assessed case by case, and if you're already taking something, we work together with your doctor.
